Frequently asked questions

How do 2-player duels work?

Lay the phone flat on a table and sit face to face, one player at each end. Each of you controls the half of the screen nearest to you, and you can both touch at the same time. Pick a duel, choose 2 Players and play.

How do I change the bot level?

Open any duel and choose vs Bot. On that screen pick Easy, Normal or Hard. Playora remembers your choice. A harder bot reacts faster, aims more precisely and makes better choices.

Where is my progress saved?

Only on your device, inside the app's own storage. Your progress, statistics, streaks and settings are never uploaded anywhere.

Because nothing is stored online, deleting the app deletes all of your progress, and it can't be restored by us. Your device's own backup (for example iCloud Backup or Android backup) may include app data, depending on your settings.

When does the daily challenge reset?

Every day at 00:00 UTC. Playora uses UTC days so everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day. In Vietnam that is 07:00, in Central Europe 01:00 (02:00 in summer), and in New York 19:00 the evening before (20:00 in summer).

To keep a streak, finish at least one daily challenge in each UTC day.

Which languages does Playora support?

14 languages: English, Tiếng Việt, Deutsch, Español, Français, Bahasa Indonesia, Italiano, 日本語, 한국어, Português (Brasil), Русский, ไทย, 简体中文 and 繁體中文. Playora follows your device language. On iPhone and on Android 13 or later you can also choose a language for Playora alone in your device's Settings.

How do hints work?

In Sudoku and Minesweeper a hint doesn't just fill in an answer. It highlights the cells involved, names the technique and walks you through the reasoning step by step, so you learn the move for next time. Games you win without hints are counted separately in your statistics.

Can I switch between the 3D and 2D Sudoku board?

Yes. The board opens in 3D, and you can drag to rotate it. To play on a flat grid, open the game menu and tap Switch to 2D Board. Tap Switch to 3D Board to go back. Playora remembers your choice.

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No. There is no sign-in, no email and no account of any kind. Playora works fully offline, everywhere.

Is Playora really free? Are there ads?

Yes, it is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases. If that ever changes, we will update this page and the privacy policy first.

How do I report a bug?
